Allow me to introduce my colleague J. KIM.

I'd like you to meet my boss Mr. John.

   

Our main goal in this negotiation session is to actually sign the contract. We've already agreed to the major points. So today we'll just go over some minor contractual details. How does that sound?

   

Can we start today by agreeing on procedures? First, I'd love to hear your company's needs. Then we can explain our services to you. Will that work?

   

Could you give me a rough idea of the time needed to make minor design changes?

   

Can you give me a ballpark estimate of how long this is going to take?

   

I feel we can overcome this dilemma by offering you better terms.

I feel we can overcome this roadblock by our purchasing more units.

   

I just thought of something that might help. Why not purchase more units this time?

Why not take a break and resume tomorrow?

   

My primary objective here today is to settle the price.

   

What I'd really like to accomplish today is settling the per unit price.

   

I 'd like to start by mentioning our goals.

I think we can resolve this issue if we each offer a concession.

   

I'm sorry, but I have serious qualms (doubts) about your ability to deliver this on time.

   

I'd like to propose something now, if I may. I strongly feel we should be given a larger discount in return for our concession.

   

I see where you're coming from. But alternatively, we could always wait and see.

   

I do see your point. But perhaps a more expedient plan would be to use our existing distribution channels.

   

We'd be glad to accept that term without condition.

I'd be happy to accommodate you regarding that.

   

I'm not too wild about the terms of the agreement.

All we need to do to wrap up these negotiations is a better price.

As soon as we resolve this issue of price, I'm prepared to close the deal.

   

I know you're under a lot of pressure, too.

I don't mean to make your life difficult, but we just can't agree to those terms.
